MY SUMMER NAIL COLORS

I know it's the last month of summer (sorry to mention it...) but I am guessing that many of you would still love to have bright and juicy colors on the tips of your fingers. Weather you are going for a vacation or just want to enjoy the last summer weeks in colors, I decided to show you my favorites and reply to your numerous questions about my nails: where I get them done, what products I use and names of the shades. I believe that nails are one of the most important part of our beauty routine, so I will be more than happy to share it with you guys!

But first things first. Here are the answers to all of your sent in questions:

Q: Do you have gelish on just a nail polish?

A: I DON'T DO GELISH :)) I have been putting gel on my nails for many years now because I don't like the way that gelish is removed from your nail. I find it very harsh for your natural nails because it gets damaged every time the gelish is removed. Instead, the GEL is removed only from the upper coat and your own nail is not touched at all, and therefore is not being damaged.

Q: Where do you get your nails done?

A: It has been over 3 years now that I am doing my nails in one place and am not willing to change it any time soon. It is a German company with it's nail studio in Riga - Catherine Nail Collection located on Str. Dzirnavu 41.

Q: What nail art is now in trend?

A: I would say there a few: nudes are very big this summer as well as bright colors. If you want something more up-to-date you should go for nude nails with black dot in the center (you will see the photos below). If we speak about a real nail art, then it has to be very minimal - avoid flowers, hearts and diamonds, better go for a minimal geometric touch.

Q: How often do you get your nails done?

A: As I am wearing gel, I have my appointment once a month or after every 3 - 4 weeks. It really depends on the moon phase when you get your nails done: is it ascending or descending. If you do your nails on ascending moon, they will grow faster and you will need to visit your nail salon sooner.

Q: Do you use any nail polish and what are your favorites?

A: Even if I am having gel on my nails, I can still put on nail polish. But then I usually put on nude gel or slightly transparent because you don't want that border to be seen.
